Pumps and Pipes UK is a new conference which brings together the oil & gas, medical, space and aerospace industries through interlinking technologies and systems. It builds on a similar event that has run in Houston for a number of years. The conference will include speakers from all three industries who will discuss the ground breaking potential of technologies such as robotics and imaging, as well as the capabilities of big data analytics and energy harvesting / management.
Collaboration is a powerful tool, and our aim is to encourage conversations between the three industries at this unique conference. By exploring the possibilities and considering the potential applications in each industry, we can all work better, faster and towards the technological advances required to undertake tasks previously seen as impossible.
The four main themes of the conference are:
• Imaging, sensing and detection
• Big data sets, data analytics and artificial intelligence
• Power harvesting and management in remote locations
Companies and individuals are invited to submit a 200 word abstract on any of these themes. You will only be expected to deliver a 20 minute presentation, not a full written paper. As well as presentations, we will also accept proposals for 5 minute ‘Techbyte’ sessions and posters if these options are preferable.
Abstracts will close on 1 October 2018.
